Wash Guide

  • Always refer to the instructions given on the care label found on the inside of the garment
  • Always follow the instructions carefully as they will be specific to that item
  • Try and match the washing symbols on your garment (the number in the wash tub) with those on your washing machine, although this will not always be possible
  • Wash your clothes inside out as this will preserve colour and reduce wear
  • Machine-washing is preferable to hand-washing, subject to eligibility
  • Wash your delicates in a special "wash bag" or alternatively in a pillowcase
  • For machine-washable wool items a short wash cycle and gentle spin are essential
  • When hand-washing only use a small amount of liquid detergent and do not soak or wring the items
  • If you have bought matching items, try and wash them together to avoid any slight variation in colour
  • Dry cleaning should be carried out by a professional dry cleaner
  • Where possible we try and advise you of any specific care instructions in our descriptions of the clothing items
